Niagra Falls (Canada): Travel & Dining Tips

Visited early June 2016.

Pick a hotel close to the falls on the Canadian side as the view is better. Apologies to my American friends. Pick one which has a view of the falls. Trust me it is totally worth it!DSC09299

We stayed at Marriott Falls View and Spa Niagra Falls. We were up on the 18th floor and had the superior Falls view room. Amazing! Our room came with two queen beds and ample space for luggage bags with great amenities. There is an indoor pool too at the hotel which was nice to swim in and not to mention a nice warm Jacuzzi which is where I spent a majority of one afternoon!

Weather: Warm with clear skies.

Public Transport: A bus service called WeGo which has three routes. All of which go through the visitors centre.

Supermarket: Not sure if we noticed any. We bought water from the convenience store.

Dining: These are some of the places we dined at. Click on links to read my review on each place as well as see which attractions they are close to. We try to pick well rated places to dine at which are also close to places we are sight seeing at.

Sandstone Bar and Grill – dinner 31st May 2016

Smoke’s Poutinerie – lunch 1st June 2016. Poutine is a classic Canadian dish made of french fries and gravy with variations. You must try this when in Canada!

TGIF – dinner 1st June 2016

There was a Starbucks in our hotel lobby!
